“My work consists of Copper Matt fumed pots, white glazed and naked raku pieces. The Copper Matt process is notoriously difficult to control and I have spent many years of experimentation perfecting a recipe and firing process that relies on post reduction techniques to enable me to consistently achieve the rich iridescent colours seen on my Copper Matt pieces. I push this process to its limits and will sometimes fire a piece several times to achieve the desired results.”
